The "Me Book"

An oldie but a goodie. Originally a project for a Junior-level portfolio class, the "Me Book" started life as a printed piece. The assignment was to create a small book which represented the "feel" and general flow of my design process. I chose to create a little Flash piece instead of a book, and the result was one of my first Flash movies.

The Adjective Gallery

The goal of this piece was to create a short nonlinear narrative. Borrowing from a site design idea I'd been kicking around for awhile, I decided to create a small "gallery" of personality traits which the user can explore. Each portrait contains items which, when clicked, display character-appropriate nuggets of wisdom.

Incense Burner

This looks simple, but turned out to be anything but. My goal was to develop an example of pseudo-realistic, ActionScript-based smoke that would randomize itself and run infinitely. For a much longer and more boring explanation please see the linked page.

Flash Gallery Projected Interface

This is the visual portion of an interactive display piece for my college grad show. I designed a 6'x8' interface where the user made shadows with their hands to "click" light sensors on the wall and trigger events in Flash, which projected information about the selected piece. (Red text added for explanation only.)
